More young girls than ever are playing sports and soccer is no different. Even though almost 47% of the soccer playing population is made up of girls of all ages, it is mostly males who coach female soccer players – a mere 3% of coaches being women. It does matter.
There is a different dynamic to motivating and coaching female players. A female coach naturally relates to this and knows how to inspire and motivate the female player because more often than not she has ‘walked the walk’ and comes from the same starting space as your daughter.
Future Girls Soccer’s’ 6-member team of all-female, licensed and certified coaches come from this very space. Having played on the international stage, on NCAA teams and coached young girls like your daughter for decades, they have walked the walk and can talk the talk. They know girls thrive when coaches communicate, listen and offer validating feedback without pressurized yelling and frustrating hand gestures. Having watched girls get demotivated, lose confidence and ultimately quit soccer due to a ‘vast disconnect’ with their coach, Future Girls Soccer evolved to inspire girls to reach their true potential in soccer and in life.
Not only does Future Girls welcome multi-sport, multi-activity girls with its Pay as you Play options, it recognizes that your daughter’s registration impacts the whole family. It’s Parent & Player First mentality means weekday game nights, no games scheduled on holidays, a 2-week summer break for family vacations and a two-friend request option because we know that for girls, sport is very social and getting to play with friends means staying in the game-OUR priority. Along with our house league offerings is our Skills Training on Sunday mornings for girls who want to ‘own the game’ and our Soccer Immersion Camp being offered in July.
