From the Canada Day celebrations at Spencer Smith Park and the Strawberry Social to Ribfest in Waterdown – our momstown moms LOVE celebrating Canada Day in Burlington! Here’s our 2014 List of events.

momstown Burlington once again will be celebrating with the City of Burlington at their amazing Canada Day Celebrations.  Stop by the booth and say hi!  Plus watch our page for a chance to win exclusive tickets to the Canadiana Viewing area!

 

City of Burlington Canada Day – July 1st – noon – 10 p.m. at Spencer Smith Park

 

Bring your national pride and explore the abundance of Canadian inspired activities and musical entertainment all day long in Spencer Smith Park. Performances on 2 stages, children's activities throughout the day, Nickel Brook Brewing Company licensed area, Canadiana Viewing Area presented by Sobeys, Liaison College Oakville and Nickel Brook Brewing Company, plus the Scholars in Collars dog training show

 

Entry to the Canadiana Viewing area will offer the following amenities above and beyond the free activities at the Festival purchase discounted advance tickets or pay at the gate:

  • Seating at tables and chairs offering great site lines to the Main Stage & Lake Ontario
  • Bleacher seating* for viewing of 2 Water Ski Shows on Lake Ontario and the Fireworks presentation over Lake Ontario *limited seating available
  • Catered meal (available between 1pm-8pm) sponsored by Sobeys and prepared by Liaison College Oakville 
  • 2 drink tickets (choice of Nickel Brook Brewing Company beer, wine or soft drinks)
  • Exclusive upgraded washroom trailers
  • Limited shelter from sun/rain under canopies and market umbrellas 
  • In & out privileges

Museums of Burlington Strawberry Social  –  July 1st – 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Joseph Brant Museum

If you have not experienced this sensational event, do not miss your chance this year! Come join us for fun, games and everyone’s favourite treat of fresh Strawberries and vanilla ice cream!

 



 

Oh Canada Ribfest in Waterdown – June 27 – July 1 at Waterdown Memorial Park

Oh Canada Ribfest takes place on Canada Day weekend every year, in Waterdown's Memorial Park. Come out for the ribs and stay for the live music, vendors in the Rotary Marketplace and family activities. All proceeds go to projects sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Flamborough AM and Waterdown

 



 

City of Hamilton Fireworks Displays – 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. at Bayfront and Pier 4 Parks

Enjoy more than ten of Ontario’s finest food trucks serving up Southern BBQ, Greek specialties, vegetarian cuisine, poutine, grilled cheese, tacos, hot dogs and ice cream from 6pm to 11pm. Local entertainers will perform throughout the parks starting at 6pm and includes face painters, balloonists and more! The fireworks display will start at 10pm and will be launched from the north-west point of Bayfront Park. Complimentary HSR shuttle bus starting at 6pm from John Street (just north of King Street) to Pier 4 Park.
